incredible events

This kind of incredible doesn’t happen on its own.

Each year, Children’s Health℠ and its generous supporters host a variety of events to raise funds that allow our team members to respond to patients’ greatest needs and expand our facilities to treat more kids closer to home. No matter how you give to Children’s Health, you are extraordinary.

Family Night at Six Flags Over Texas

*Family Night at Six Flags, hosted by the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Dallas, raises funds to support critical hospital programs and lifesaving equipment. Last year, more than $655,000 was raised to help fund programs that improve the patient experience, including art therapy, Child Life programs and clinical research. For more than 50 years, this beloved family night has had a significant impact on our community.

*The April 10, 2026 event was a success! Save the date for April 2, 2027 for the next Family Night at Six Flags.

Cape Day

Cape Day, presented by Bank of Texas, is an opportunity to honor our patient superheroes at Children’s Health who fight courageously every day. On this day, patients, team members and community advocates gather at Children’s Health to celebrate our superhero patients. Every patient at Children’s Health receives a cape as a signal of their strength and superpowers fighting illness and injury. Last year, 9,000+ superhero capes were worn by our superhero patients and team members.

Legacy of Love

Legacy of Love is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano. Attendees enjoyed lunch and conversation, featuring guest speaker Anne Geddes, as well as special highlights and inspirational stories about our Children’s Health patients with proceeds benefiting mental and behavioral health initiatives.

North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event put on by Communities Foundation of Texas. Since its inception in 2009, North Texas Giving Day has transformed from an idea to help local people give wisely to a movement that has ignited a broad culture of community-wide giving. In 2025, more than $660,000 was raised to support Children’s Health.

Hispanic Heritage Month

In 2025, Children’s Health invited Latina artists to create art pieces inspired by the incredible stories of three patients to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month — and invited our community to add color to the lives of patients at Childrens Health through their support. In collaboration with the Latino Arts Project, the “Obras de Esperanza” — or “Colorful Stories” — collection was exhibited from mid-September to early October at the Adolphus Tower Gallery, where community members were invited to bid on the art pieces. All proceeds from the auction benefitted Childrens Health.

Boo Yard Sign Challenge

The spooktacular boo yard sign challenge takes simple neighborhood trickery to a community fundraiser. In 2025, over 1,600 boo signs were placed in yards throughout the community to help raise funds in support of important programs and services at Children’s Health.

Swing Fore Miracles

This corporate-focused tournament at Topgolf allows participants to network with other Children’s Health supporters. Last year, more than 200 participants competed on 32 teams and some healthy competition helped us raise $160,000 to support the new Dallas pediatric campus.

NorthPark Santa Visits

NorthPark Center’s Santa brought joy to many families in the community last holiday season. This cheery Santa also brightened the hallways with holiday cheer at Children’s Health for hundreds of patients who spent the season at the hospital with personal visits and Storytime with Santa at Seacrest Studios. Last year marked seven years of partnership with NorthPark Center, and every Santa visit booked benefited Children’s Health.

Breakfast with Santa Spectacular

The cherished annual Breakfast with Santa Spectacular hosted by the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Dallas welcomed guests at NorthPark Center. Holiday festivities included photos with the beloved NorthPark Santa, holiday performances, face painting, balloon artists, special character appearances and live reindeer.

Santa’s Workshop

The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano invited families and friends to celebrate the magic of the season with an afternoon of festivities at Studio Movie Grill to raise funds for Children’s Health patients and families. Guests enjoyed photos with Santa and a special interactive screening of the holiday move “Elf.”
